Conservator ‘Present’ for care group De Toekomst
Despite a hectic day packed with activities, a few colleagues made time today to offer an unforgettable lunch to a group of elderly people from Rhoon-based care group De Toekomst. Jesse Kikkert from Grenouille Catering was once again willing to lend a helping hand and served up a delicious 3-course lunch. It was a very successful afternoon, spent with people who more than deserved this pleasant distraction.
This project was established in collaboration with Stichting Present, which joins us in a few volunteer projects each year. Present helps to create a bridge between people with something to offer and people that can benefit from what is being offered. As an intermediary in volunteer work, they offer volunteers the opportunity to help people (in their own homes) who suffer from poverty, poor health or social isolation. This is possible for half a day or longer.
